GlucoFast is committed to protecting your privacy. We do not sell your personal data. Your health information stays private and secure.
1. Information We Collect
When you use GlucoFast, we collect the following information:
- Account Information: Your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Health Data: Glucose readings, meal tags, meal notes, fasting sessions, water intake, and sleep data that you voluntarily log in the app.
- Profile Information: Optional details such as age, diabetes type, and health goals you provide during onboarding.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and compatibility.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Provide and personalize the GlucoFast service, including logged-data summaries, trends, reports, and reminders.
- Generate in-app pattern comparisons and summaries from the data you choose to log.
- Send you notifications and reminders you have configured.
- Process subscription payments through Apple App Store (we do not directly handle payment details).
- Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features.
- Communicate important service updates.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore) with the following protections:
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
- Firestore security rules ensure you can only access your own data.
- Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication with industry-standard security.
- We do not store your password in plain text.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or health information to third parties. We may share data only in these limited cases:
- Service Providers: Firebase (Google) for data storage and authentication and RevenueCat for subscription management.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- Your Consent: When you explicitly choose to export and share your data (e.g., PDF reports for your healthcare provider).
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data at any time through the app.
- Export your data as PDF or CSV reports.
- Delete individual readings from within the app.
- Delete your account and associated logged data from the Settings screen in the app.
- Opt out of notifications at any time through app settings or device settings.
6. Children's Privacy
GlucoFast is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Premium subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card or payment information. Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat, which receives only your anonymous user ID.
8. In-App Pattern Summaries
GlucoFast can generate in-app summaries and comparisons based on the readings, meal notes, fasting sessions, hydration logs, and sleep logs you choose to save. These summaries are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice.
9. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account in the app, we will delete your personal and logged wellness data, except where retention is required by law.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of GlucoFast after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
